Halloween Bat Cake Topper

Halloween Bat Cake Topper

HI, I hope you are all well. At the moment I have the kids at home all a little sick but I wanted to share with you my Halloween Bat Cake topper Tutorial.

I was wanting to make something cute and fun for Halloween. I decided to give myself a little challange with this Halloween Bat Cake Topper as I wanted to create some lovely wings.

Tutorial and Materials Used

So for this Halloween Bat Cake Topper I used Saracino Modelling paste in white, black and a tiny bit of pink. I also used only 2 dust colour for this cake topper and they were pink and a pearl white dust.

Weight of pastes use:

  • Black sugar paste 40g wings (20g each wing but one cut it will be under 10g)
  • Body white 100g
  • Ears Black 5g Total (2.5g each ear)
  • Eyes White 2g total
  • Pink – tiny amount
  • Some extra Black paste for the eyes and eyebrows

Other materials used:

  • 4.5 – 5cm Polystyrene Ball
  • 24 gauge florist wire,
  • Fake eyelashes
  • Ball tool,
  • Silicone modelling tool,
  • 1A Wilton piping nozzle (1.4 round cutter)
  • craft knife.

Below I will show you how I made the Bat Cake Topper
